In our ecology unit we were each required to create an info graphic. Mine is seen below
Reflection:
Prior learning: During this project I fell back on my skills regarding group work. Most of this project was defined by my cooperation, the work I did and teamwork which made teamwork a valuable skill.
Present Experience:
The significant bits of my group's project that I contributed to was my research and guiding the group towards realistic success.
The only problem my group faced was one of our group members had been absent from work time for about a week and another group member avoided doing work at all costs.
My assumptions were confirmed about one of our group members in that they don’t do that much work, they mostly watch cat videos.
An interesting thing I learned is that gas/air born pollutants can dissolve into the ocean, which I had never really thought about, but makes sense.
If I were able to do this assignment again I would push any slackers harder and earlier or simply ask to have them or me put in a new group.
My Future:
An implication for information I have learned from this project is that some people are so lazy that despite being called out for their lack of work will still place down three words so they can say that they did something. To me this information tells me that you simply can’t tolerate a slacker being in your group.
Something I wish I was better at before this project was designing an infographic. It was half of all the points from this project and I feel my infographic was one of the worst in the class.
The activities helped with my learning style. I have always enjoyed hands on learning.
A highly repeated point in this reflection is how upset I am about having a person put in our group who did essentially nothing and was given just as much credit for the project as the rest of us. This project has definitely made it so the the said person will never be in a group with me again.
